Chapman Celebrates | Musco Center for the Arts

Chapman University’s annual benefit, Chapman Celebrates, features a spectacular song-and-dance show celebrating The Female Voice” with more than 100 students and faculty participating. A gala dinner follows. Sandi and Ron Simon are Citizens of the Year and Vanessa Williams will receive the Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Award. All proceeds  benefit the Chapman Scholarship Fund. Raul Ramirez Organ Masterclass & Organ Recital | Concordia University Center

Concordia will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the university’s iconic Casavant pipe organ with a masterclass and concert by the virtuosic Spanish concert organist, Raul Prieto Ramirez. Rhapsody in Bluc | Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall

The Pacific Symphony concert, with conductor Mei-Ann Chen, will feature three prolific American composers: George Chadwick, the master from the New England Conservatory; his pupil Florence Price, the first African-American woman recognized as a symphonic composer; and George Gershwin, whose music is synonymous with the sound of America. Black & White Party| Balboa Island Museum

In celebration of the one-year anniversary of its New Museum, Balboa Island Museum is hosting a Black & White Party at the site on Balboa Island’s Marine Avenue. NOJO 7 of New Orleans Jazz Orchestra| Irvine Barclay Theatre

The mighty NOJO 7, led by Grammy Award-winning drummer and Artistic Director Adonis Rose, honors the dynamic traditions of New Orleans brass and rhythm.
